This year, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and the start of Pride. Over the last five decades, Pride celebrations have steadily grown more visible across the country – and across the globe. While we’ve made real progress, there is so much left to achieve. As we celebrate this year’s World Pride in New York City, we honor those who have empowered the LGBT community around the world as well as those who continue to fight for visibility, equality and basic human rights.
