MTV and Vh1 are launching Leaders for Change, a grant program to celebrate and support young advocates who are working to end voter suppression. In 2018, young people showed up. They turned out at the highest numbers in 25 years.
Yet, during this massive wave of participation – from gerrymandering to ID laws to shutting down polling locations – 2018 was also an important year in the fight for the right to vote. This $100,000 MTV grant program will be shared across 5 young people doing extraordinary work to advance the right to vote. Throughout February and March, MTV and Vh1 will announce these Leaders for Change.
